Weekly Photo Challenge: Time

This week we were challenged to think about time and portray it photographically.  What is time to me?  History.  The past.  The connection between now and then.  This last April the husband and I had an opportunity to explore Tsankawi Trail, which sits right outside Bandelier National Park in New Mexicso.  In the 1400’s Tsankawi was home to the Ancestral Tewa Pueblo people.  The people of Tewa Pueblo carved their homes (called cavates) in stone, building masonry buildings in front of the cavates.  It was a pretty extraordinary experience, seeing remnants of the Tewa all these years later, and is a great representation of time.

    1. Below the cavate? Those are the “steps” worn by many a foot climbing up into the cavate (though they’ve probably been deepened by the feet of not-so-ancient man).
