Oh, the anticipation of Christmas. Its rival here in the lowlands of Western Washington? That elusive creature…snow.
Now, I will be the first to admit that I’m not a huge fan of the white stuff. I don’t like the cold. I hate to try to drive in it. But, there’s something magical when it dusts the area right around Christmas time…the one time a year snow is acceptable.
I pass the nostalgic setup captured in this photo on my way to and from work everyday. I’ve been itching to stop one evening with my tripod and capture it after dark but it hasn’t happened, yet. But, when I saw the scene with snow yesterday morning it was irresistible.
