After posting yesterday’s entry to the weekly photo challenge: “Grid,” in which I stated I didn’t have any grid photos in my portfolio I realized I lied.
In 2012 we had a massive ice storm in Western Washington. We lost power at our house for 5 days and, in the aftermath, the husband hauled 16 truckloads of downed limbs to the local dump from our 2 1/4 acres. If you know where to look you can still see scars on some of the trees on the property. Before the ice settled and started breaking things it was a breathtaking thing to behold. This grid shot was taken during that breathtaking stage:

Great shot – I remember that storm – it was a month before I moved here and I was here to look for an apartment. My flight home was delayed several days…
