Weekly photo challenge? “Grid.” Wuh? Yup. Grid. Okay, then. I didn’t think I had any grid-esque photos in my repertoire, so when I got home I grabbed a piece of fencing that has been protecting my cherry tomato plants from the local deer and used it as my grid. The result? Not bad, if I do say so myself. The dahlias remain glorious.

Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise! Wonderful! I always enjoy plants up against grids, the interplay of it. You really caught that here.
