A seasonal favorite, Santa’s Helper has entered building for the third year in a row. That’s noteworthy. The only other seasonal cocktail worthy of that honor is the Peppermint Martini (still to come).
I don’t know what it is about this cocktail that I love so very much. I think it’s the amaretto. Maybe the cherry. Mmmm…or the vodka and cranberry juice. Perhaps it’s simply the combination of all of the above.
Santa’s Helper
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz amaretto
3 oz cranberry juice
marashino cherry
Pour the vodka, amaretto and cranberry juice into a shaker filled with ice. Shake. Drop a cherry (or three) into the bottom of a martini glass. Pour the shaken liquor into the glass. Enjoy while wrapping presents so you can live up to the name.
Oh yes, this one has all the elements in a fab cocktail! Just shared with my entire family on Facebook! Perfect for helping me wrap presents on Saturday while in San Diego with my family! Cheers, LaNae!
