I’ve been spending some time in the archives selecting photos for entry into this year’s county and state fair (yes, it’s that time, again). So, when bridge popped up as the weekly challenge I decided this little gem was perfect.
This stone bridge spans Goodacre Lake in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, BC. It was completed in 1889. Pretty gorgeous, huh? Next time you’re in Victoria make sure you check it out.

Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise!
