“Some things just work together…” proclaims the photo challenge this week. There are those that are obvious: peanut butter and jelly, Bonnie and Clyde, peas and carrots. And those that are less so.
We were in Portland last weekend for a weekend of play. In the rain. Because that’s what it seems to do every time we go to Portland to play. I’ve been meaning to tell you about it, but it’s been a busy week.
Late one morning we found ourselves wandering the Northwest corner of the Pearl District, very near the river. An expanse of green grass created a bit of an oasis in front of a towering condo complex. It felt like we were on the edge of the city, where nature was threatening to take over. It was a good match. The march of man vs. the majesty of Mother Nature (who I’m usually cheering for). I turned at the far edge of the grass and shot this photo, a good match.
