On the Eleventh Day of Christmas…

my cocktail gave to me…a sticky on-off switch on my camera.  Actually, that was the result of the tenth day of Christmas.  Santa’s Helper got a little away from me (actually, the husband was holding my cocktail, there was hugging, and sloshing, and the camera was in the slosh zone).  Seems like everything else is okay.  Just that one switch.  It must be about time to wrap this whole boozy thing up.  We’re so close.  So very close.

Let’s get to it, shall we?  This lovely little sparkler could be served at any time of day, really.  We enjoyed it as an apertif (which is a fancy word for a pre-dinner cocktail), but it would also be a nice addition to a brunch…or Christmas morning post-present, pre-brunch.

Pom Orange Sparkler

1/2 c bottled pomegranate juice
1/4 c fresh squeezed orange juice
A shot (or two) Grand Marnier
1 bottle Prosecco
orange slices, pom seeds for garnish

Mix the juices and Grand Marnier.  Divide among four wine glasses (because, really, champagne glasses are too small…you just have to refill too often).  Top with Prosecco. Toast each other and enjoy!
