The evening before making this after-dinner delight I made a small pot of strong coffee, allowed it to cool, poured it into ice cube trays and slid it into the freezer. Some versions of this sipper up the ante by adding half-and-half. Tempting, but I thought the creaminess of the Irish cream was sufficient. I was wrong. We added some milk, but it wasn’t the same. Recommendation: add half-and-half.
Coffee ice cubes
1 oz vanilla vodka
1 1/2 oz Irish cream
1 oz half-and-half
Combine. Taste. Adjust flavors to taste.
