Weekly Photo Challenge: Magic

“Children have the ability to believe without bias, to find wonder in even the most mundane of places and objects. As adults, we become dulled to the magic inherent to life and perhaps we stop seeking it altogether. However, as photographers, we have an opportunity to reclaim it.”

Those words give me a delightful little shiver. Add this quote and I’m sold: “Photography for me is a passion, a mix of science and art that creates magic,” Scott MacQuarrie.

Yes! Toss some fairy dust on me, I’m done!

On my recent trip to Santa Fe I was introduced to the magic of panning. Drop shutter speed, add a moving object….magic has been reclaimed!
