Today I flew from Seatac to Albuquerque, picked up a rental car and drove to Santa Fe, NM. The time has come. Tomorrow and most of Tuesday I will explore. Tuesday evening I will make my way to a local hotel for registration and opening dinner. Of what? I thought you’d never ask…
From Wednesday through mid-day Saturday I will be participating in a National Geographic Photography workshop here in Santa Fe. I say that, and then am at a loss for words. So, maybe those are the only words I need to say right now. I took the photo below with my cell phone as I walked around the corner to Whole Foods to pick up a few items. I’m currently staying across from Railyard Park and took a few minutes to stretch my legs on my way to the store. Thunder showers are rolling through this evening, though it’s supposed to be 70 and sunny the remainder of my time here.
It’s going to be an amazing week.
Lucky you. Enjoy!

This is such a fantastic opportunity! I just signed up to visit Santa Fe and Taos with Road Scholar in January. With camera, of course. Enjoy — I look forward to seeing your photos from New Mexico.

That it is! Your trip sounds amazing! We went to Taos a couple of years ago and it’s beautiful. The gorge is not to be missed!

Thank you! It’s a great city…though the roads make absolutely no sense. 🙂

Oh yeah, the twisty roads are tough to navigate…

It takes ten minutes to drive 3 miles downtown! Not because of traffic , but just because the streets are set up whonky! Though I do appreciate that there are very few one way streets and lots of four way stops.
