I swear that WordPress is watching me. Our challenge this week? Landscape. Hmm. What did I pick up from the local UPS hub this very afternoon? A Canon 16-35mm f/4 lens, that’s what!!!!! So, instead of paranoia about WordPress watching me I am absolutely, positively delighted. Because I had to fulfill the weekly challenge, right? Which meant I had to go out to Nisqually Wildlife Refuge and try the new lens out, right? Therefore, all I really have to say about this week’s challenge is…thank you, WordPress, for confirming that I did truly, honestly need a wide angle lens.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Landscape

Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise! Nice shot! Hope you enjoy your new wide-angle lens — they will have to pry mine out of my cold, dead hands. 🙂

Thanks! I think I’ve already joined you in the cold, dead hands camp. I’ll be posting the entire wide angle journey within the next day or so. I am completely blissed out on this lens. It’s like a “How did I live without this lens?” moment.

Great shot. Great justification for the lens.

Thank you! So much space! 35mm seemed to capture the entire world. 16mm boggled my mind! 🙂
