Weekly Photo Challenge: Alphabet
This week’s photo challenge (Alphabet) seemed to have been created just for me. I read about it on Friday morning, and Friday evening the husband and I headed to Portland, OR to celebrate his birthday. And guess where we were staying? The Alphabet District!
For real! The Alphabet District (aka the Nob Hill area) sits in Northwest Portland. It is a fantastic part of the city filled with great restaurants and shops. Very walkable, with easy access to the trolley system should you want to head elsewhere. Thus, I bring you a few favorites from the Alphabet District:
The sign for one of our favorite restaurant/bars.Boutique hotel where we stayed. A chance to play with the tripod. Love the starbursts captured in the lights.
Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise! But that lap needs to be in the right place. You can take credit for that.
