The Cocktails of Christmas: Frosty the Snowman

Since we started with a cutesy name (Santa’s Helper) we might as well continue with that theme.  Usually I just call this a Peppermint Martini. But for the Cocktails of Christmas we’ll dub it Frosty the Snowman.

Frosty is a bit more serious than Santa’s Helper.  He’s all booze and has the ability to knock you down like you’ve taken a snowball to the head.

See what I did there?  Frosty?  Snowball?  Okay…as I’m writing this I’ve had a Santa’s Helper and am working on a Frosty the Snowman.

Anyways, Frosty is a very simple cocktail to mix:  equal parts peppermint schnapps and either vanilla vodka or regular vodka, shaken and poured into a martini glass.  If you’re feeling particularly festive you can add a drop or two of blue food coloring.

Just looked at the pictures of Frosty.  They’re not great.  I’ll post more later in the season (which means next weekend).  Perhaps I’ll add some blue food coloring.  That was your teaser.
