Challenge: post a “Monochromatic” picture. Webster’s Dictionary defines monochromatic as: having or made up of one color or shades of one color. Our friends at Wikipedia define it this way: monochromatic colors are all the colors (tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue. The Daily Post also suggested that “The inclusion of a pop of color in an otherwise monochromatic palette can also result in a dramatic image.”
Huh. Turns out I take a lot more monochromatic pictures than I ever thought. I just had never attached the fancy word to it. Maybe I’m cooler than I thought.
So, here’s monochromatic with a pop of color, caught last weekend at a local park. I may have additional opportunities to capture monochromatic this weekend, so stay tuned!
Ha! I looked up the definition too 😉
