Weekly Photo Challenge: Door
I initially scratched my head at The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Door.” I take pictures of a lot of things, but not many doors. However, on a recent trip to Taos, New Mexico (I blogged about it in a number of entries back in April), I found myself captivated by a number of old adobe churches. They also gave the feeling of a “door within a door” as I peered through archways and paths that led to the actual door of the church. Does that make sense? Take a look, I think you’ll see what I mean:

Welcome to Tales from the Upper Left! I’m an Oregonian by birth, and a Washingtonian (upper left...get it?) by choice. I share my life with a husband named Jonathan and a cat named Colby Jack (he’s orange...like cheese). I dabble in photography (passionate hobbyist), hike when the opportunity arises, drink wine whenever the mood strikes me and travel not often enough. Predictable Washington blog? Nah. I promise!
